  • Week 2 29.09 – 03.10

The second week of the course focused on the fundamental concepts of Extended Reality (XR). I learned to understand XR as an umbrella term that includes Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR), which use digital technology to expand the relationship between the physical and virtual worlds.

In addition to learning these concepts, I participated in a brainstorming session with my group members, where we generated many interesting ideas. Through discussion and reflection, we eventually agreed on one concept and shared our individual preferences for visual and artistic styles. As a result, we decided to take a bold approach and develop a horror game, which we felt would be an exciting way to explore atmosphere, immersion, and emotional experience within an XR context.

  • Week 1 22.09 – 26.09

During the first week of the course, I learned the basic operations of Unity and how to upload projects using GitHub. In Unity, I became familiar with the main interface and experimented with creating simple objects, adjusting their position and scale. I also created a small game in which a ball bounces onto different platforms after colliding with objects, which I found very engaging. This experience helped me develop a preliminary understanding of how virtual scenes are constructed.

At the same time, I learned how to manage my project using GitHub and gained a basic understanding of version control.

During the learning process, I found Unity’s interface quite complex at the beginning, and the workflow of uploading projects to GitHub was also challenging. However, through continuous practice and experimentation, I gradually became more comfortable with these tools.
